Some humbling words from those we have had the pleasure of teaching and training with...

I have known Mr. Richardson for over five years. I was his senior instructor when he examined for his second Dan grade in Shotokan, and I was also his examiner when he was awarded formal approval for his instructor status from the Karate Union of Great Britain.

Mr. Richardson is an excellent exponent of karate. He is technically sound in his basics, kata and kumite and as a result of his Masters and Bachelors degrees in Sport Science, has a thorough knowledge of the psychological, biomechanical and medical aspects of sport in general and martial arts in particular.

He is a superb instructor. Although i am very much his senior in both Dan grades and years, and I taught him over many years, I have often trained under his instruction and found him to be a thorough, sympathetic, innovative and inspiring teacher.

Professor Georges Dussart

Ben is one of the outstanding martial artists of his generation. He took over as instructor at Eton College Karate Club following a period of turbulence in the Karate world and after the departure of our previous instructor. Ben has done a very remarkable job over the past few months getting the club back on its feet. The boys who train with him have nothing but praise for his skills, his exceptional teaching abilities and his encouraging and helpful attitude towards them.

He is certainly the best Karate instructor we have had at Eton over the pat 20 years since the club was founded.

Mr. M. A. Town, Master in charge of Martial Arts, Eton College.

Since my son Luke, has been attending your ‘Black Belt Karate Club’ I am delighted to say I have noticed a positive change in his physical ability, mental concentration and focus.

I believe these changes can be attributed to the structure and discipline that is so obviously part of the Karate training you provide. Most noticeably has been the improvement in his own self confidence. As an example, when given the opportunity to take part in a new activity, a child that was always keen to watch others, is now keen to take part!

Mr. John Gilbert, Blewbury.
